My Upcoming Trip

I am going on vacation on December 17th. I am going on a Rhine River Cruise from Switzerland through Germany with my sister and her family.
Last week I received an email from the Mayor of the Village of Gering in Germany. It was in German, but I could make out that he wanted to establish a friendship with the City of Gering in USA.
Upon doing some research, I discovered that on one of our stops, we will be 20 minutes from Gering, Germany. I emailed the mayor, and he promptly sent me his contact information and will come and pick me up and take me to see his "Gering" which is 400 in population.
I will keep you updated on this blog about my trip and my visit to Gering. I will try and post pictures as well.
Isn't technology wonderful! What are the chances that I would hear from Herr Pies 3 weeks before I leave and be 20 minutes from his city.

Learning New Technology

Being one of the Latter Baby Boomers, I sometimes find technology a little overwhelming. This blog for example is one of the new things I am learning in this new e-marketing age. I am discovering that sometimes you just have to dive in and try to start learning. Today, was the 3rd emarketing/technology session I have been to in a month. From each one, I learn a little more and am starting to experiment with these progams. Repetition can teach a boomer how use all this new technology. Now I have to discover how to apply it to my business and professional workings.
