Last night the council approved a $575,000 loan to Magnolia homes to build 5 houses in East Gering on K Street and Pappas Blvd. This will give Magnolia the funds to put people back to work and hopefully bridge the gap until April and spring orders start arriving. The loan will be paid back as the houses are sold. These are 3 bedroom, 2 bath homes with unfinished basements and double car garage. They will range from 1219 sq. ft to 1440 sq ft. and sell for $114,000 to $122,500. Yards will be landscaped and sprinker systems installed.

This is a new project to help get people working.

Also last night the city's 1 and 6 year street plan was approved. This year's projects will be mill and overlay of 10th Street from J to U and the paving of D street from Rundell to Lockwood Road.

Until next time.

Susan
